Project Marilyn

The mission of Project Marilyn is to ensure everyone has a healthy and dignified period. PERIOD. Project Marilyn assembles period kits and distributes them to other nonprofits. Period supplies are often overlooked so Project Marilyn is working to fill that void. Project Marilyn officially became a 501(c)3 in April of 2019. Our nonprofit organization is named after and dedicated to Wendi’s mom, Marilyn. The logo is her photo and her actual signature from her drivers license that Wendi kept after she passed away in 2011 from breast cancer. “We miss my mom so much each day, to do this in her memory, makes us feel like she’s still with us.”

This February, we are proud to spotlight Project Marilyn, a Southern Nevada nonprofit whose mission is to ensure everyone has the supplies needed to have a healthy and dignified period. The organization was established in 2019 by Wendi Schweigart in dedication to her mother, Marilyn, who passed away in 2011.

Lexicon Bank is supporting Project Marilyn with a cash donation to raise awareness to the organization as well as highlighting their recent selection as a charity partner for 2022 by the Mondays Dark team. On May 9th, 2022, the day after Mother's Day, Project Marilyn will be spotlighted on Mondays Dark "Night of Giving Back".
